Yesterday, my bud Annie and I participated in the Cambridge Oktoberfest 5k race. It was a huge loop around Kendall Square and Lechemere, and then ended with a beer festival sponsored by the Cambridge Brewing Company. There were 1,000+ people in  the race! It rained the entire time, and I might had shed a tear at one point…I didn’t focus too much on my time and speed, because simply participating in the race had a lot of personal meaning (especially because of it’s location). I tried to stay mindful of my breath, but I think that’s something I can further work on now that I have more space to do yoga and exercise. It was really awesome to do another race this year with a really good friend of mine and then celebrate pretty much all day.

I have learned so much this year. It’s going to end better than it began.
